    A 265 @ 1300 should be plenty.
I agree, if it shoots good, send it.

Others stated that velocity should be 1300 fps +. Could be that you have "slow" powder, or it deteriorated a bit. Since you mentioned "I have lots of 296 and H110 powder", you might try another can of 296, or switch to H110.

Also, did you check cylinder to barrel gap? If that one is more than standard (.004-.006", if remembered correctly), developed pressure will be lover, and consequently lower bullet velocity.

That WFN is short for weight maybe? It might just require more powder due to shank length as compared to others? If you are comfortable with it, I encourage you to go and have fun. Good luck!

That sounds like about a Max load for me. I ran 23.8 grains of 296 with the same weight boolit in a Lyman Devastator out of my 77/44 and had the bolt stick. I did have digital scale issues which I'm sure probably jumped it above that so retested with a new scale. Didn't show pressure signs with the new scale but my groups opened up. I tell you if you don't have a Lee Factory crimp collet die pick one up and that might pick up your velocity with a good firm even crimp.

WFN= Wide Flat Nose. As you have seen alloy and lube are the limiting factors with your bullets. The 1200 fps load should result in a complete pass through.

Devestator solid point. ACWW. 22.0 H110. CCI 300 primer. Not magnum. Kudu was finished by the PH the next morning because it got away in low light. It was standing at an angle and the boolit did not enter the chest cavity. I should have aimed further back.. It would have died in any case. Shoulder bone as hit by the boolit.
