    1876 Chaparral barrel thread & pitch ?

I posted this question on another forum, several views no response. Surly someone has removed a barrel from a Chaparral 1876 ( cal not important). I ask because the parts from Chaparral's fit "original 76 WCF, so i was wondering if the barrel threads were the same.

    hav'n coffee, Hootmix.

    Good morning
We have a couple Chaparrals as they all shoot good. Never yet had the need to pull a barrel.
You looking to re-barrel an original 1876 ?

miss5155, no Sir, just curious my 76 shoots just fine. I have used Chaparral internal parts to rebuild original 76 WCF's and was just wondering about the barrel thread's, even some Uberti parts will fit WCF's w/ just a little fitting.

Ajohns, you are probably right, metric thread.

    Thank you for the replies.

miss5155, i read back to 9=06-2006, KSCO (i think i spelled it right), went thru a heck of an ordeal w/ a 1873 Chaparral but didn't say anything about threads on the barrel, look the thread up and see what all he went thru. Holler back at me. Just type in 1876 Chaparral in the advance search at the top, and read page #2.

    coffee's ready, Hootmix.

Whats the price of a new Pedersoli or Chiappa - if ya just want one to shoot - thats my price
if yre a collector - an original in that condition - sky high $$ - but an original - decent shooter with some dings and average finish??? W A G - 3k to 5k ??????

Pedersoli and Chiappa will loose value (relatively) as they age - original Winchester might increase in value .
