I have an original Lyman 21 sight to put on my '95 src, 3006. The extra hole is already there and in the exact correct location. Question is: there is a brass washer with the sight and it has an almost square hole in its center. Does that washer go under the front hole in the sight mounting screw or under the sight where the receiver was drilled and tapped? I understand the rest of the mounting process. Thanks to anyone that knows the answer. Dr.C
Here's how my Model 38 (windage adjustable version of the Model 21) is set up.
The washer fits in a shallow round recess on the outside of the arm where the front mounting screw goes in.
