    Turn down an M die plug

    Has anyone turned down an M die Plug... Shipping being Higher than the Lee or Lyman Plugs...I am Considering it.. (37 to 311)
    Or, Should I go to Swap and try to Trade???

    I've made a few on my lathe and if you're handy with tools it wouldn't take much to turn one down using a drill or drill press, files and sandpaper. Just check the size often and go slow. Once you've taken material off you can't put it back.

    What he said. They're easy to make if you have a lathe and that way you have the original too. Don't try to make the threads. Just drill and tap it and jam a screw in there then cut the head off.
