    Shell holder for 24ga shell????

I got the Lee die set for the 577 450 MH.
Got some 24ga shells from Magtec.
The shell holder that came with the dies is not a great fit.
    Seems to loose.
Any idea what shell holder would fit better????

CH-4D is the only one listing for 24 ga. shotgun. May want to give them a call.

I'm pretty sure RCBS will have one as well. Nothing wrong with CH4D.

Only reference I found to an RCBS shellholder for a 577-450 or a 24 gauge shotgun shell holder is that it is obsolete and made of unobtanium

And you may want to contact the guy in post #114.

Looks like he's done this conversion.

Oh yeah here's a thought, try a 577-450 shell holder ( LOL ) I'm pretty sure it will work. RCBS or C&H 4D can supply.

    I found the problem.
    Posted in the conversion forum.
The rim on the Magtec shells I got are small.
They are suppose to be .757, but are .719.
    Uggggggg
The 577 450 shell holder might work, but it's really sloppy.
    What a PITA.

yeah, that sounds small. Can you send it back? Didn't mean to be a jerk earlier, just thought of it out of the blue and had to laugh at myself. I think I got an RCBS for the same job and it works fine.

I'll try sending Magtec and see what they say.

Really if you have a lathe and a small bench mill or the same with a friend attached shell holders are really simple to make. Just a thought.

I sent them an email, and got a reply.
I made a mistake with the rim size.
Was looking at the 20ga diagram instead of the 24ga.
The 24ga is suppose to be .728.
Still much larger than the Magtech .719 I got.
Guess I'll just try the shell holder I have, and hope it works.
I do have a lathe and mill, so might just have to make or modify.
