This is a really handy powerful little rifle. The 18” bbl makes it a fun powerful little rifle. To add a little weight for recoil with top loads I purchased some hardwood laminated stocks. It has ported barrel but is only good for high velocity loads.
This year I worked up a 440 gr WFN GC load using 26.5 grains of IMR 4227 very consistent and very accurate. The meplat on this bullet is .80 of caliber so no need for expansion on white tailed deer.
This gun is equipped with Hi-Viz sights and they are fast and handi.
Yes this rifle has some potential to be a complete stomper but I load it to get the job done. Because of its size and weight full house rounds from this gun are brutal. That’s why I got this barrel the guy doesn’t reload and it beat the heck outta him.
I got the barrel for free so why not make good use of it. This gun just makes the minimum for overall length and is a perfect little close cover rifle for hunting. This reduced load is perfect.
