    Traditions Outfitter G2 35 Rem

So, I picked up a Traditions 35 Rem pretty reasonably and thumbing through my Hornady reloading manual it mentioned 158 gr. "J" bullet. Specific diameter said .357-.358. Wondering if pills I cast for my .357/38 would suffice for this rifle cal. 1:14 twist is supposed to be ideal for lighter bullets in 22" barrel?

A good friend of mine called and asked if I was interested. Looks like the day it came out box. Haven't shot yet but did some research and basically found that it's similar to 30-30 Winchester except not rimmed.

To answer your questions, yes, your handgun bullets or 35 caliber rifle bullets of appropriate shape and weight can be used in the 35 Remington. You'll likely find that bullets weighing 180-200 grains are the sweet spot. Just be sure to match your bullet to it's use. I wouldn't recommend deer hunting with a pistol bullet unless you keep ranges short and speeds low(er) unless it's designed for speed.

Here's a 2-part article on different bullets and how they perform in the 35 Rem. https://www.suitorsgarage.com/gunstu...loadpart1.html

    Thanks, Dinny

Thanks for the information. I am fully aware that this is not a long-range hunting rifle and I guess I should have mentioned that I believe I actually have some heavier molds for this caliber. Just to be on the safe side, probably will slug barrel and mic.
