    my 9mm swaging setup

Finally got my 9mm swaging setup done. I’m taking 9mm cases and turning them into 9mm 115gr bullets, to feed the Kahr PM9, they seem to expand well (at least on a steel plate Lol). Pics below show the process:

Pic 1 – made a case holder to trim cases to approximately 0.525” long, using a Harbor Freight mini cutoff saw… cases are then deburred and chamfered.

Pic 2 – trimmed cases are annealed and then drawn to a diameter of 0.354”… cases are annealed with a torch to cherry red, if they are annealed too much (to orange) inconsistent results will be result in the final length

Pic 3 & 4 – 60gr lead core is seated in the drawn cases, cases are pushed up into the die to expand the case to a diameter of 0.355” and a length of 0.570” (although there is some variation to this length)…

Pic 5 – seated cores are then pointed using a 17 Rem sizing die

Pic 6 – bullets are then sized three times with push thru dies: 0.356”, 0.355”, and then 0.3545”… undersizing allows for some brass spring back after sizing

Pic 7 – clean bullets using wet tumbling in the vibratory tumbler with stainless pins and dawn/lemishine

What are you using to draw the cases after annealing?
A vote for anyone other then the conservative candidates is a vote for the liberal candidates.

Using a draw die and an arbor press, there is a pic of it above.
