    Rcbs 38-175 rn

Gents - I picked this one up recently. It's an older discontinued style and perhaps was a limited production. For whatever reason, I currently can't post pics here. It's basically a shorter nose, long body, 1 crimp and 2 lube groove, gas checked style. Looking to see if anyone has used this before and if so, which calibers. I load for 38, 357 Mag and Max and may also try this in my 35 Rem. Appreciate any insight. Bill in MA

I can offer RCBS data for 38 and 357 if you need. No experience though.

Bazoo - Thanks for the offer. I had read it earlier, which the help me recall that at some point in the past few years, I had purchased the RCBS Cast Bullet Manual. I found it on a bookshelf and it had data for both the 38 Spl and 357 Mag. It had data for the Max round as well, although it was for the 180gr Silhouette style, which is probably close enough to use for this style bullet as well. Thanks, Bill

I used it in my Rossi for Lever Action Silhouette, before stepping up to a 30-30. It worked just fine and was better on rams than the 162 grain RCBS 38-162 SWC, though I still rang a few. I used a stout charge of H-110, taken from the RCBS manual.
