At $5.65 each for the brass will probably hamper the sales.
Wow!
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!
Men who don't understand women fall into two categories: bachelors and husbands!
Does any African country allow hunting with semi auto rifles? That's the only possible use that I see for it- but hey, whatever! Finally, an AR10 for elephant hunting.

Probably there are some who would use it justifiably for brown bears.
Thought it might be a stretched SOCOM, and it seems to be that way.
What the heck, if it looks like fun, have at it. I think all people have an item or two not justified by pure need...
Interesting but I think I'll stay with my 458 Socom. 405 SP @ 1700 is more than enough for me GW
If a 9mm handgun can blow your lungs out- just imagine what that monster is capable of!

I could sure see the platform having value for shutting down injured and enraged African or Indian dangerous game, though the semi-auto thing would likely be a problem. In the western hemisphere, I'm thinking of it as a back-up rifle for Grizzly, Kodiak and Polar bear?
A 390 gr. projectile at 2500 f/s compares quite favorably with the .416 Rigby's 400gr. at 2370 f/s, which will humanely down anything on the planet. The fact that the .475 Bishop is fired from a gas-operated automatic would likely also do much to keep the big game hunter's shoulder out of their orthopedic surgeon's office!
$6/case is something of an obstacle, but if demand shows and production continues...

Carpe SCOTCH!
For dangerous game from what I have read the older "African" cartridges made their reputation with solid bullets or soft points, not hollow points.
Meanwhile, those of us with "long" bolt actions and large bore lever guns just shrug and get on with our lives. . .
It's an interesting exercise, this seeing how much can be crammed into the magazine well of an AR-pattern receiver for the sake of having that performance "in an AR", but it seems a lot like trying to drag race on a four-cylinder in a world that has lots of eights to offer.
