    Fire lapping with PC

Any body tried this? I'm think of trying to polish a couple of bores that could use a bit.
I was thinks of a small batch of shake and bake with some fine grit in the powder.

If the particles of grit can be pushed into and imbed in the powder coat easier than they do Lead--- it won't work as well.

I can't see how it would hurt, you just might need to do a few more shots to get to the same place.

Since it is usually done with pipsqueak loads I'd skip the PC.

I’ve often wondered about that same thing. It would be interesting if someone tried it let us know how well it works.

I be more worried about grit contamination to any/all of your related PCing components. Grit for fire lapping should be applied with flat plates, regardless of copper jacketed, lead, or PC. Unless I am planning to fire lap other weapons of the same caliber, the brass I used for fire lapping gets trashed.
