Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries
Was it a melted lead explosion or something else?
Another rcbs primer chain explosion is my guess.
These men and their hypnotized followers call this a new order. It is not new. It is not order.
I would probably want to wear a full face shield if that event could reoccur.
I used to cast bronze hardware in my home shop and the melt would pop on occasion - nothing will get your attention faster that bright yellow molten metal flying through the air.
I keep a comfortable pair of safety glasses on my bench and try to wear them regularly. Glad your ok. Was this from primers?
Great reminder for all of us.

One pound of FF black powder on the bench ignited when I forgot to put the lid on it and sparks came out of the back of the nipple.

Wow! Lucky you didn't get blown to Kingdom-come!
You are a lucky man . . . . 1 lb. of black powder (cannon grade of course) ws the service load of a 10 pounder during the Civil War . . capable of sending a 10 pound projectile 1 1/4 miles.
I've seen several such accidents where the results were more severe. A good reminder to everyone to keep powder containers CLOSED after loading and when shooting.
Glad you weren't hurt!
I'm very lucky.no hearing loss and all body parts accounted for.

Loud, Hot, and Smelly all at once in your face!
It wasn't your time to go; thank God. I'm so glad you had those glasses on and you're ok.

Sir! First, I'm happy to hear you will survive. Second, thank you for sharing this event to keep the rest of us safe and informed.
I have worn glasses since I was 9 years old until two years ago (cataract surgery) and have to remind myself now to put on safety glasses - I usually get something in my eye when working on the wood lathe before I remember. I need reminders.

There is no 'right' that requires me to work for you or you to work for me!
Glad you are ok. That's a lot of heat.
when accidents do happen they usually happen very quickly, ive had a few but none involving powder, primers or any firearms related, fortunately your o'k and won't let that happen again
Holy Smokes ! Sure glad you are OK .
Black Powder doesn't burn ... it just all goes up all at once .
Eye protection is important ... I'm sure that's what saved your's .
I wear thick tri-focal's all the time , just to see , but you guy's who don't wear glasses ...
Learn from this and keep some eye protection on your bench and wear them .
Did it get your hair and eyebrows
