    WTB/WTT: Recoil Pad

I picked up an old Rem 700 wood stock in trade that is in good shape except for some butt damage. I would like to cut-off the butt an inch & add a recoil pad. Since I don't have an immediate need for the stock, I'd like to fix it up at the lowest cost. I'd like to buy a grind-to-fit, black (with-or-without white line) 1" thick to fit the Remington (Min dim 5-1/4" x 1-5/8"). NOS would be great, but even a used one in good shape would be acceptable. Let me know what you have & how much you want for it. I'm open to trades if there is something you need. I have a number of plastic ammo boxes that I could use for trade fodder.

    TIA

I acquired a batch of my stepfather's spare parts last time they moved, and have hauled a box of recoil pads all over the country since 1990. If there is one you can use, you can have it. Pictures to follow.

I make mine using EVA foam from the interlocking floor tiles and glue it to a 1/8" piece if oak. Drill and grind to fit.

I would suggest the LIMBSAVER slip over pad.
