Parts for Ruger service six / security six

Looking for some parts for a Ruger service six. Should also fit a security six.

Looking for a nice pair of grips and a front sight blade.

    Anyone?

For the grips,, Is it a low back or a later high back g/f? The low back,, (earlier gun) is harder to find grips for.

Didn’t realize there were different grips. How do I tell the difference?

Serial number is the easiest way. Prefix 150- or lower should be low back. 151- or higher high back. The trouble is there was a transition during the 151- range fro one to the other. I you have the original grips, the low back are rounded at the top. Radiuses on the top of the grips are more or less the same. The high backs sweep up and come to a point at the top of the grip frame.

RoninPa is traveling today. He'll be home by tomorrow & may be able to help with the sight & maybe the grips.

Thanks for the help. I guess I need the high back grips.

There are always Security Six grips available on eB**, especially the high-backs.
As for the front sight, that's a little tougher but some folks have had good experience using a GP-100 blade. Might require minor fitting, depending on which one you need/get.

The GP100 front sight for the fixed sight version is the same as the Police Service Six.

I have a brand new in the box set of Rogers grips. They are a hard plastic that resembles wood grain, and very, very similar to the Hogue grip. How does 35 bucks shipped sound?
