    I put 200 grains of zinc wheel weights into 4lb of lead once - 0.7% zinc. The lead turned into garbage. Slushy in the pot, and would cling onto my stir stick in sheets. I cleaned it up with root kill and all is well. I have zero interest in casting with zinc content above maybe 0.05%.

    They charge exorbitant prices for large fishing sinkers. If there was some way you could make some and sell them to a tackle shop maybe.
