Cooney ( Sears ) 6C parts Canadian made

Does anybody have a line on where I can find parts for a Sears 6 C 22lr made in Canada by Cooey.
The rifle has the Bolt handle , Magazine, Extractor , Ejector missing.
I should be able to make the Bolt Handle.
But I have no pictures of the extractor or Ejector to make those parts.
They are not the same as parts made for the American model or the Savage 64 or Winchester 490 which are very similar.
I have checked Gun Parts Corp.
They do have parts for the American made rifles , but only limited parts for the Canadian made ones.

Have you checked evil bay? Might find someone that has or makes one. Good luck. I have found parts that way.

As MrWolf said, check the listings, making a list of the cross references.
I don't know that they are valid but it will result in a possible usable reference to other rifles.
    thanks

I do believe the make is a Cooey, or something like that. Seems like Bella Twin got her record setting bear with one in 1953. Maybe some of our Canadian members can comment.

It's the predecessor to the Cooey Model 64, Semi Auto. I just checked and Gun Parts Corp has the Cooey 64 parts that you need.
"I Make the part.............................that makes the parts"

LAGS with your skill, you should have no problem fabricating these parts except for the magazine.
    Magazines are a female dog.
    I have confidence in you.

I checked the parts a GPC.
They almost all match the American model Savage and Winchester.
    The Extractor is Totally different.
It is made out of thin spring material held on by a screw to the bottom of the bolt.
None of the GPC parts match this for the Extractor or Bolt.
    But.
I made my first extractor already.
It fits well but needs some minor changes.
So I will make another one that fits better.
    Get this guy's.
The spring metal I am making them out of is the steel supports that I always save from old Windshield Wiper Blades.
That steel works well for making lots of different Flat Springs.
I could just order a new bolt , bolt handle, ejector and extractor for the Cooey 64 plus a magazine for the Canadian model .
But that would be way to expensive for the overall price the gun is really worth.
So once I get the parts fabricated , then I will order the magazine by itself.
The next thing I will start making will be the Bolt Handle.
I don't have my lathe any more , so I will just use my Poor Man's Lathe to fabricate it.
    I E ; my drill motor and a file.

Nice tip on the metal. I just tossed them. Thanks

I think the Extractor should work now.
I ordered a new Magazine from GPC.
And since I had to pay shipping on that part, I added a bolt handle and a Ejector from them on the same order.
These two parts for the Cooey 64 look like they will fit the model 6C Sears.
But the extractor on the 64, like I said was no where near what the extractor on the 6C looks like.
The two parts except the magazine were only $5 each and didn't raise the shipping cost on my order.
Now I have to contact my friend and see if he wants me to Refinish the stock and reblue the barrel and receiver.
Those are in Ok shape , but there is rust spots all over the metal.

That steel strips from Windshield Wiper reinforcing bars is a mild type of spring steel.
For some parts I harden my parts with Kasenit that I still have.
For springs I heat it up to red hot and quench it in motor oil .
Then Temper it by letting it sit in Melted lead for about an hour.
There is lots of things that are trash that I hold onto to make different gun parts.
Like broken or worn out drill bits for pins.

I recently read about the windshield wiper metal and have some also.
I did not know that it is spring steel!
    Thanks for the information!

If you need the steel from used wiper blades and don't want to buy new wipers.
Just go down and look in the trash at a Auto Parts Store.
Especially the day after it rains.
I have also used Banding steel straps from shipping pallets to make some small springs.
Also you can try piano wire forged flat.

This guy is flat out amazing. If he had been on the SS Minnow, they would have been back in port same day.
Seriously - I've seen some of the stuff he makes out of practically nothing, and it's better than factory original.

    Like I always say,
" Why Buy , When you can Build "

I even built the small but heavy brass hammer that I am using to forge the springs and other parts.
I built it out of a brass pull handle off a storefront door that I replaced years ago.
I built one for Armoredman too

LAGS blended in a small section of wood to fill in an area missing in my pistol build. I defy anybody to find it. It's perfect. If you saw a before & after photo, you could see where it is, but otherwise it's just a full piece wood. Very talented.

Ah, the brass hammer - my son uses it to seat balls in the .54 caliber rifle LAGS rebuilt for him...
We gotta be careful - this is going to become a "LAGS can do anything" thread...well, he CAN, but that's beside the point.
Looking forward to pictures of this rifle as it evolves!

    Thank you guys.
Thru my life I haven't found many things That are broken , except a Relationship that I can't fix.
And that is because I don't break relationships.
    Thank you 725
That pistol build for you was a nice project.
And I am glad you were satisfied with the finish.
And that is a nice comment coming from someone who does his own gunsmithing.

Well so far it seems like the Extractor I made will work.
I need to get the rest of the parts to see if the rifle will fully function.
But the saving grace with the extractor is,
This is a Semi Auto Rifle.
For the most part the extractor isn't that important because the case blows the bolt back along with the case.
Now when the Ejector gets here , I will see if the ejector keeps the case in the right place so the ejector Kicks out the empty ( or live round ) out of the receiver.

While I am waiting for the other parts I ordered to arrive,
I decided to fabricate another Extractor out of metal from one of those Black paper binding clips.
I have made springs out of that metal before.
But you have to be careful when you heat that metal up to bend it to the shape you want.
That steel is Good Spring Steel.
    It is higher carbon content.
So you have to heat it up to red hot slower or you make it brittle.
One thing I made out of them is Sear Springs for black powder lock assemblies.
The binder comes with round bends in the ends that you can use for the mounting screw so you don't have to bend that part onto it.
And my Extractor has a similar end to hold it on the bolt with a screw.
Just a little more information for you guys as to material you may have around the house that you can use.
This metal has also worked to make Hand Springs for old revolvers, as well as some Sight Springs.
