Which size Round Ball to buy…..

I want to buy a mold for a friend for Christmas. I do know he will ultimately buy an 1835/42 .69 caliber musket ( to match his bayonet).
Whether it’s an original rifle or a new version of the same year design is up in the air right now.
But I figure my Christmas gift this year is an easy one for me. And it will drive him crazy too!

So, knowing it’s .69 caliber, and judging from his conversations it will be a smooth bore, do I purchase a .69 caliber mold or a slightly smaller diameter mold, to allow for wadding.
    Possibly a .678 or less?

Who’s mold is the better one?

    Thank you for the help.
