    Portugeuse Verguerio bolt issue

Recently picked up a Vergueiro rifle in 6.5 and disassembled the bolt to clean. I'd heard they're infamous for reassembling the bolt but I'm truly stumped. Following this video

It's all fine until I try to get the cocking piece on and it just won't slide all the way in. Comparing my firing pin to photos of others it looks as if the threads at the end of the firing pin are not in the right position relative to the head, almost like it's twisted. It started off together and so I figure it should go back together. Hopefully someone knows these bolts better can share their wisdom.

I’ve got two Portuguese Vergueiro rifles and have had the bolts apart on them. I had to use a video to reassemble it and it helps to have a third hand. Can’t answer your question right off and I’m not about to disassemble mine again to find out…. Good Luck!

Fixed it, the end of the firing pin was in fact bent - managed to get it back together with it in the vise and a ring spanner combined with an unnerving amount of leverage. Cocks and releases properly but I'm never taking that unholy abomination apart ever again.
