brave rooster fights off an attacking hawk

To protect hens, a brave rooster fights off an attacking hawk in a Missouri backyard is the title. I wonder it the farmer shot it first and then rooster jumped on it.

Ya don't really want to mess with some of those roosters. They can be the little gang bangers of the farm if they want to be.

Especially when they're on guard over THEIR hens!

Someone that I shoot with when he was five the farms roosters would attack him. I guess he got spurred. i had one and he tried to attack me and just kicked him, not too hard. He was solid. One of my dogs is a shepherds type of mastiff and no matter what that rooster did she would not retaliate. The other dog that threw as a bulldog at first wanted to pin it and then figured out that while it had no ears she could hold it by the wing. The rooster was terrified of her. One day the other dog caught it in her dog houseand that was too much for her. His days were numbered after that when it became personal.
