Today was the first range day I've had in quite a while. To start with it's a 90 mile round trip to go to the range, plus this is the first couple of days in forever that it hasn't been over 100+ degrees. The weather was nice today and there was very little wind. One of the loads that I wanted to try out was the Lyman #266673 with 18.0 grains of Shooter's World Buffalo Rifle. This powder is supposed to be the same as AA-5477, and since I have a lot of it I wanted to see how it would do. The groups were a little larger than ones I've shot with 14.0 grains of 2400 in the past. The attached photo is of five 10 shot groups at 50 yards. The average group size calculated to be 0.962" This load works OK, but I think I'll go back to the 2400 loads.
