    Ideal, Lyman 310 ???

I have been given a "bunch " of old loading gear by a good friend in another state.I just don't know exactly what I have. Lot's of Ideal & Lyman loading dies, but not marked so I can tell what cal., etc.Attachment 304302Attachment 304303Attachment 304304Attachment 304305 A little of what I received. Any help figering out what I have would be most appreciated. A Long with the load equipment was a fair amount of loaded 25-20 & 32-20 & also empty brass. I guess some of the loading tools are for 25-20 & 32-20.

That's a very good friend. Couple nice 310 sets and some Winchester tools.

^^^ What hd09 said! ^^^ It would take a long time to give you a tutorial on all of these items, but there are a couple of lists of die numbers that fit various calibers (“die codes”) and it looks like the sets were nicely organized by the previous owner, probably by caliber groupings. If the tong tools themselves are as old as they look, they are probably marked by caliber. As an aside, 25-20 and 32-20 dies can be used with the same tong set.

PS The die code list is at this link: https://castpics.net/dpl/index.php/t...lyman-310-tool

Do I see a couple of the original Ideal integral-die tongs there?

The two tong tools are Winchester, and will be marked with their calibers. There is also a nickel plated berdan decapper. For the the two cased sets of Lyman 310 tools and dies, the link to the caliber codes should tell you what you have. The gray & white box has a steel lyman tong tool, which is kinda extra neat. There is also what appears to be a bullet mold with wooden handles and a roll crimper for shotgun shells that clamps onto a table or bench. The crimpers are subject to breakage, so be careful with it.
