I found some 348 Winchester brass today. I haven't seen a lever gun for this cartridge for years does anyone still shoot it?

Yes people still shoot it and form brass from it. If you don't want it do a PIF or sale here and someone will put it to good use.

Another .348 shooter. Fine cartridge with heavy cast FN.

I like mine. There is no animal on the North American Continent that you can't take with a .348. My eyes roll when I read of some ne'er-do-well butchering a Model 71 to make a "Bear Gun."

Another M71 348 Win fan here! I have a short tonne of cast bullets for mine. Before I bought my first 348 mold, I would get bullets from Ed at Maplewood Bullets.

Just starting to cast for mine. Found some brass & a couple of old Lyman molds. Anybody have any favorite loads to get me going?
My favorite plinker is a Lyman 358-429 sized to .350 and loaded over 13 grains of red dot. (custom sizer made from from Lee parts, courtesy of Titan.)
My two "normal" boolits are the RCBS 200 grain and the Accurate 35-220B. The Accurate Boolit has gone hunting with a charge of 52.5 grains of WW-760. Less oomph but better accuracy can be had from IMR-4895, cerca 45 grains with a 200 grain RCBS boolit.
Best accuracy for me has come from IMR 4895, WW-760, H-414 and 4350.
