It is pretty ugly, but I think Bubba would be proud.

Does the slide lightening holes offset the accessory weight on that Barney the Dinosaur race gun?

Not to be judgmental but I’d have trouble falling asleep if that pistol were in my home.

    Yes

the CZ P-09 could make a freight train take a dirt road, but it shoots like a match gun.

Baltimoreed, the craftsmanship on the Webley and Astra transcend appearance. If one wishes to see first class machining- look no further than inside the Astra.
    Great collection there, sir.

All depends what you consider ugly. When I was younger i bought anything that was cheap. Now I only buy pretty (S&W but thats my taste) Problem with pretty is you dont want to carry them. So there is a reason to buy ugly at times.

I am in the ugly group for SD guns. I want a gun I can shoot well that is reliable and has decent accuracy. How it looks is way down the list.

Boy is that true. With guns and with other things. The best work truck I've ever used was an old beat up 4-cylinder that was dented, rusted, and torn up inside, but my Lord we used and abused that thing and it just kept ticking.

Sorry, Tex, I wouldn't want you to risk your sight having to look at them. Though the S&W 32-20 in the upper right photo came out of Texas.

Obi Wan Kenobi said that the lightsaber was "An elegant weapon, for a more civilized age"

Personally, I'm much more in line with Han Solo's "Hokie religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side"

The question of "what is ugly?" has to be brought up here. If it's a matter of condition, a Royal Blue Python, carried, sweat on, and subjected to hard range use for 20-30 years will be pretty ugly. Do the same to a Glock 17, and it'll come through looking pretty much like. . .a Glock 17.

My AR15 pistol is every bit as ugly as my Hi-point pistol.

Of course; I bought some S&W M64's that were re-imported from Austria, Turn-ins from Austrian Forestry Service or something similar to that. Carried extensively and rarely shot. I wear one on my side like a pair of pliers when working outside. I have bumped up against fences posts, trees and my tractor Ugly but functional.
