I think it would be an interesting combo, but for me it would be more of a range gun. For me, a carry gun is a semi-auto.

I love my revolvers and have well over twice as many nice revolvers than semi-autos, but the only time I carry a revolver is when I'm in bear country, and then it's one of my big bores.

I certainly wouldn't criticize anyone wanting it for a carry gun. Lots of folks prefer carrying revolvers for self defense than semi-autos, and for them this would make a great carry gun.

I was actually just joking. I have shot my buddy's M60 3 inch 357 Mag PC gun.

A gun shop within 10 miles of me has a 2.25 inch one for sale. Or, the 2.125 inch whatever it is.

The GP100 10mm does heardspace on the case mouth for 10mm. The factory clip is just for fast loading and ejection of all the rounds at once.

The .40 S&W needs a "thick clip" from TK Custom or Ranch Products for proper headspace. The Ruger OEM clips were made thin and flexible for easy loading and unloading without tools. Have never tried using two factory clips to fire .40 S&Ws...will try it the next time out.

Over on YouTube, the guy who has the MAC (Military Arms Channel) bought a 3" GP100/10mm/WC edition and he was surprised that it ran .40 S&W just fine with the thin factory clips...probably a case of his gun having just tight enough headspace to get away with it...
