    I need some help

I am wanting to buy some expander plugs from NOE.
These are the ones that fit in a Lee universal case expander die.

My problem is that I don't know what measurement is for the boolet and what is for the depth when expanding the case.
Example a plug that measures .357X.353. Would the first measurement .357 for the boolet?

    Thanks

First number is the flair, the second is the diameter of the neck expansion. Just be sure that you do not set it so the flair is too deep or the case will stick and you will destroy the case trying to get it off the expander plug. Don't ask me how I know this.

I had the same problem when I was going to order some expander plugs ... in fact I wasn't sure what size to order . So ... I joined the NOE Forum ... as a member there is a place to ask questions .
So I laid out the details , such as I am reloading 9mm luger , using NOE 358-124-TC GC , sized to .357" lubricated with Lithium-Beeswax lube and installing gas chec .
and asked ... which size plug is correct ... I received 3 or 4 answers , one from Al Nelson himself , telling me which plug to order .
I thought I had figured out how to determine which size was right but I had it all wrong ...
Trust me , for best results , join the forum , ask questin and give details on what you rae loading and sizing the boolits too .
I asked for info on three different boolits for a 9mm , 38 spcl /357 magnum and a 41 magnum ... every one they advised me to get was the perfect size ... I was fixing to screw it up big time ...Thanks to Al and Friends at NOE for the help !

Always the small number is the case expansion, less spring back, and the larger number is the flair.
It is impossible to have it any other way.
I have and use a bunch of the NOE expander plugs. They work great.

I couldn’t figure it out either. I ordered everything around 458 cal. If you figure out which one you need, I suggest you order a couple of other sizes. I ended up using different sizes than I thought I would.
