    Caps at Sportsman's Warehouse

Went to the Missoula store today. Walked back to the muzzleloading section and about fell over when I saw CCI #11s hanging on the rack. Price was $5.99 a hundred. There were only 6 tins and I didn't take them all. Last time I saw caps for sale here was last November.

Two weeks ago my local sportsman’s warehouse had 20 on the shelf, also at $5.99. This is in Northern California. Today I stopped at my lgs and they had cva #11 primers. I’ve never seen them before. The tin is smaller than a cci tin and a brown color. I don’t know if they are new or new old stock but he had at least 5000 that were visible. They were $15.99 a tin, so I passed.

Wow...I'll have to go check next weekend when I have cash. Last time I saw caps they were $25 a tin of 100, magnums only, and one tine only.

I don't know if I would go for them at 6 cents apiece. I mean I am sure I would if I did not have any but I am going to wait and see what the new normal is going to be before I stock up again. I have enough of everything to last a few years but will want to stock up eventually.

I got 2 tins and wife got 2 tins, at Sportsman's Wearhouse tonight. First I've seen in a couple of years. $5.99 per. I was down to 25 caps with a new to me ROA just waiting to be shot. They had 1 can of 3F BP but did not need that but no 2F. Some 209's and CCI large rifle at $8.50/100 limit 2. No powder to speak of.

In the present climate anybody that leaves percussion caps on the shelf at 5.99 per 100 will proly regret that decision sooner than later.

And that exact attitude and action will keep this "shortage" going. Only buy what you need and leave some for the next guy and the problem will ease.

I went to Sportsman's Warehouse today.
They did have #11 CCI primer caps.
    $5.99 per 100.
I picked up 4 cans even though I don't need too many right now.

    I'm in NorCal, near Sac.
Have not see caps anywhere, I live just up the street from Sportsmans and Bass Pro.
Would order online but the shipping and hazmat are deal breakers.

im more concerned about me being able to shoot than wondering if you are. sounds like a socialist way of thinking.ill buy what i want, when i want and as much as i want and nobody has a right to say otherwise.

I'm all for buying what ever you need.
The only thing that ticks me off is the guy that goes in to buy it all just to flip it.
Thus intentionally screwing over fellow shooters.

    Just got back from Reno.
Cabelas wanted $13.99 a tin for CCI #11 magnums.
Sportsmans warehouse has them listed at $5.99
They matched the price and I was able to get 3 tins
Then bought a pound of Triple 7 fff from Scheels.

My LGS has a pretty good supply of CCI #11 and musket caps. I have a Traditions Pursuit XLT that uses primers and I like it very much. I'm thinking about buying the Northwest version of the rifle that uses musket caps so I'm not totally dependent on endangered species 209 primers.

I live about 15 miles from the kalamazoo sportsman warehouse. Just for gliggles, I checked their stock. 100/5.99 as mentioned by others. Not available. Nearest store to me with stock is in Iowa, a mere 461 miles away. Lol
