Unhappy Hodgdon IMR Enduron line discontinued!

Just thought I would let you fellow shooters/reloaders know that Hodgdon dropped/discontinued their line of IMR “ENDURON” powders.

I hate seeing good products disappear like this!

I noticed that on website. The only one I've used is 4955. It works okay in the few cartridges I tried it but I can live without.
While they may be good products, I didn't see them selling like hot cakes. I don't know if it was a marketing failure or if the powders just weren't as profitable. The other challenge is that reloaders spend a lot of time and money developing their pet loads. I think a lot of folks will stick with what they know works for them and aren't always willing to jump on the newest product. The shortage of components and increasing costs of reloading will likely keep a lot of guys from experimenting and trying out something that is new and doesn't have decades of proven use.

How many times do we see posts here like, "...I don't need anything besides Bullseye, Unique, and 2400."

Sometimes I think it's amazing that we ever see any new powders at all.

It seems the older proven powders are still working just fine.
Since I have a decent supply of the older powders, I haven`t needed to try the newer ones.

It's not a good thing Hodgdon owns pretty much all the domestic powder manufacturing. I wouldn't be surprised if they start cutting back or discontinuing established powders as well.
