Need boolit mold recommendation for 7.7 Arisaka

Just picked up a 7.7 Arisaka rifle in very nice shape. Really nice looking chrome-lined bore. Would love to try PC'd cast boolits in it. Does anybody have any mold / boolit / load commendations?
    Thanks, Andy

NOE 316299 is the usual choice for the 7.7 Jap

I'd say 316299 from NOE is best just because you have that extra size in case you need it. 314299 should work though

I have two type 99 rifles. Both are Toyo Kogyo manufactured. An early war 31st series and a late war 35th series. Excellent bores, as recommended I use the noe 316299
But also use the noe 311332 which drops from the mould at .312 and powder coated comes out to about .315.
I use 14 grains of blue dot or 12 of green dot. Both loads will do 2" for 5 shots @ 100 yards.
Not sure if you like history.. I've been reading about the Pacific war battles. Hallas has written several books on these battles and I highly recommend him. Just finished his book on sugar loaf hill Okinawa.
It's like you're there along side the Marines.

Bore sizes vary widely in Jap rifles, and throats are large. Measure a fired case to get and idea, and size up a thousandth from there.
I would go with the 316 299, as bigger wont hurt and too small will be inaccurate.
I have trouble seeing my rifle's sights, at 100 yards, but it shoots decent at 50 yards with the above bullet, and 12 grains of red dot, or the same of green dot.
I usually run 13- 13.5 of Unique, and get good results.

Here's a 100 yard group I shot with my 31st series using green dot and the 311332.

I'll be testing these two in the next couple weeks.

Lyman 314299 beeswax-alox-carnuba (White Label BAC)
Lee Custom Group Buy 6 cav 311407 bottom size .314" 180 gr.
Both loaded with 21 grs 2400.
Both are seated to touch rifling, if possible. And yes probably a wee bit too much LLA on the 180gr'ers. Norma & Graff brass.

Hey guys. I also am looking for a bullet mold that my Type 99 likes. However the groove diameter measures at .317. Would I be better off casting an 8mm bullet and then sizing that down?
