    Peaceful ride

I floated the river this morning. Strangely foggy early but cleared away to a gorgeous day. No hogs, no snakes, just turtles, cattle, and deer.
Thank you Lord for the ride filled with peace and wonder.

Good to see you have some water to float upon. Great picture.

It's the West Fork of the Trinity River between Lake Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain Lake.
Some fish jumping this morning and catfish are easy to get.
If Bear Grylls was with me, he'd have wanted to recover the dead deer I found in a log jam.
A beautiful owl watched me float by at one point.
I had the river rat 20gauge with me, loaded with Buckhammer slug in case I saw pigs- glad that I didn't, actually!

My favorite place in the entire world is out on the lake right before sunrise. Mist rising off the water, loons chattering to each other up and down the lake, smell of coffee and bacon wafting from on shore as people wake up and get their day started...
