    bullets for 35 Remington

Do any of you have some boolit suggestions for my Marlin 336 A in 35 Remington? I want at least 200 gr. Any design suggestions?

The RCBS 35-200-FN is supposed to be the one to beat for the .35 Remington. I think Lee makes a clone of this mold now.

this is the go to mold for 35 rem. both NOE and lee makes a clone of the RCBS 35-200 and also mp-molds makes an awesome hollow point version of this, on my wish list.
mp- also makes a 220 grain hp mold that would work.
gas checked and lube sized to .360 is one of my favorite cast bullet loads in the old marlin.

The aforementioned RCBS bullet works exceptionally good in most 35/9mm cal. rifles.

YUP! What they said. I have 7 35 remingtons(my wife says I have problem) all shoot the same boolit. When you look at this round on paper it does not look too impressive...when you shoot animals with it...impressive indeed!

The RCBS 35-200 and its clones are the go to. Lee makes a six-hole that is available and inexpensive. The Noe clone can be had with the hollowpint options. Mostly .360 works in the Marlin's. Matt's bullets has a 35 205 of that style, he will size .360 if you ask, he makes VERY GOOD bullets.

Mihec has in stock a few of his copy of the RCBS 2 cavity in brass hollow point. I ordered one Monday and the cost was $103. Ordered it on Monday and delivered yesterday, Thursday. It will cast solids if a person chooses.

Thanks for everyone's input. I just ordered a 4 cavity 200gr. RCBS clone multichoice from MP. I have purchased from him before and the mold was fantastic. Hoping this one is the same.

I found the Lyman to be horrible in my Marlin.

I know you already bought your mold but for others who might read this I'll offer my experience with Accurate mold 36-200A. It shoots great in my Marlin 336 in 35 Remington BUT it did have one problem in that it jams into the rifling hard if you crimp in the groove as intended. My work around for that was to trim my cases .010 under the minimum length. The front band still kisses the rifling enough to leave marks but the lever closes all the way easily and you can extract a loaded round with no issues. Accurate now offers a variation on the design called the 36-200AS with the front band shortened by .020 for short throats. That should make it work perfectly with standard length cases.

Since Accurate molds can be customized, I had mine made to drop .359 bullets using my alloy since my rifle slugged at .3575.

The larger than normal meplate makes a loud thump that sounds more like a brick hitting a deer than a mere bullet and kills great. I load mine to 2,050 ft/sec using 50/50 Clip on WW and pure lead with 2% tin added with of course a gas check installed. It's an honest 1 moa load in a handy woods rifle that's easy to carry and fast to the shoulder. I can get about 100 shots before accuracy starts to deteriorate.

The srock Lyman mould drops too small for Microgroove Marlins. I inherited Dad's 336 and also his mould. It was a long time before I realized that he'd lapped his out to drop ~.361" with sweetened wheelweights. The easy way now is the RCBS 35-200 clone from NOE or ??? who can cut it to make a bullet big enough for the Microgroove. Ain't CNC wonderful?

Mine is a 1951 waffle top with standard rifling. I was generously given some by a member and another member lent me his mold. Neither casting shot well. It was long ago, I forget the diameters, but I would probably remember if they were undersized. Anyway, I passed what I had left to another member to try.

Someone must like them though… Lyman has made that mold a long time!
