Works out to about 10 to 11 cents per bang, plus the haz-mat, plus the shipping. I'll just leave my percussion revolver in the safe.

That's still twice what it should be, but at least it's on par with prices you find in stores.

Got a deal on a percussion revolver and "needed" some caps I bit the bullet and ordered some. I hope the prices come down but I'm afraid tgis may be the new normal.

Buying one carton isn't going to hurt anything. Just don't go nuts, prices will come down, they always have before. Obviously inflation will keep them from ever coming down to what they used to be, but when you start seeing them on sale for $45 a 1000, that's when you will want to buy a case.

I've seen them at 2 different WW's recently for under $6 per 100+ tax of course.
I added a couple hundred to the stash.

What megasupermagnum just said. They had a variety of primers at Sportsman's Warehouse for a few days before selling out. They were rationing the 2 trays (200 primers) per customer and prices were only modestly above pre-Wuhan flu. ~$4-$6/100
