    bonanza press

    i have a line on an old style bonanza press (as new) for around $250.00. is the new forester press the same? will parts interchange? opinions??

    The spare shell plates (the ones that do .22 Hornet and .45-70) that I ordered from Forster fit my Bonanza fine. Likewise the tube and jar that catches the spent primers.

    As far as I can see, the Forster is just the Bonanza with a red paint job instead of brown.

    actually, the picture of the bonanza is red paint. my guess is that later on they went to red.

    My black Bonanza has a set screw to hold the ring of the dies not a snap in spring.
