For 'everyday' practice I use COWW with 30% pure lead, add about 1% tin. I use 20-1 lead/tin for hunting. I have been using Accurate 2015, 58 grains giving right at 2185fps in my rifle, this a MAX load in my rifle, went to 60 grains but did not get velocity increase, using Federal 215 (I have hunted in very cold conditions -20F or so). Lube is the old NRA 50-50 beeswax/ALOX. I use Winchester brass with cannelure bought a large lot very long time ago. Federal and Starline brass have less capacity. I use once-fired brass for hunting, factory cannelure gets ironed out first shot. I trim using a Wilson trimmer set to just touch the shortest case of the 50-100 I am working. I have a one-piece firing pin in the rifle - it has the trigger interupt to prevent firing unlocked, the trigger has been stoned to 2.6 pounds. I hunt with a 2.5x20 Leupold, I switch to a 4.5-14 Burris Fullfield II for load development and the extra weight, Recoil is significant, I have a Limbsaver recoil pad on it. I usually limit my practice sessions to 20 rounds, sometimes less due to recoil. I usually get full pass-thru on broadside elk, seldom used for deer but have two deer with shoulder to hip full exit.
