    Slug Mold Parts ???

In the swapping and selling Classifieds on this site. Guy was looking for a 20 Gauge rifled slug mold. As in the sabot type. I knew I had at least one. So delved into my " never use anymore box ". Found one complete 12 Gauge Lyman sabot set. After more digging found the 20 Gauge Lyman. But it is missing the insert, wooden handled steel knob that goes into bottom of mold.

So I search on internet no luck. Can't believe what they are selling for now.
Anyone got any ideas where to look. Looked on Lymans page and their parts section didn't even include the sabot mold.

Make friends with some that has (and knows how to use) a metal lathe.

That second part lets me out.

You might try contacting Lyman Customer Service. I'd use the phone, rather than email.

    Hope this helps.

Well tried Lyman customer service. Absolutely no help either on search engine on their site or the individual that I talked to. Complained about their web site as far as search engine. He stated their web page is totally unreliable. They have eliminated a lot of their products but web page does not reflect that.

my answer to this is to avoid all Lyman products in the future.

I just saw one on Ebay. The seller was ricketts. It may have been 12 gauge and it may be gone by now.

Crisis is over found another storage box. There was my 20 gauge plug buried under some other stuff I thought was lost. Made for a great day.

But still got my knickers in a bunch over Lyman.

Glad you found original part. Hollowpointmold.com (Mentioned elsewhere on the site) is a first rate source for repair parts including hollow base and hollow point plugs and pins. I’ve corresponded with him in the past regarding mold problems, and his solutions are brilliant.
