    cleanup weekend

cleaned up the last of my range scrap I collected this spring. That "Satan's little smelter" my buddy gave me sure is the ticket for getting it done. bet I rendered down over 500# in a short afternoon. Both buckets behind the stack in the last picture are filled to the top with the 1# ingots

I curse your motivation othernewb...(jk). My component stash, dwindled to 50#'s of WW's and 300#'s of Linotype and nuke shielding lead, waits like a cat with prying eyes.
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

That looks like a good afternoons work! I looked hard at those smelters when they were still in business. I save all of my years accumulation of lead and me and a buddy get together to melt his and mine late in the Winter or early Spring before it gets hot.

I’ve been thinking a of collecting some range scrap soon, but I think I will wait until the weather cools down before melting it down.
