    Primer prices

As most of you know there has been a shortage of primers nationwide. I was on the waiting list at my LGS since January of 2020, and got a call yesterday to say that they finally received some Small Rifle primers in. I went there today and picked some up for$169.95 A BRICK! this is OVER three times what they were selling for when I last bought some.

Ouch! Last time I bought primers they were about $130/case. Glad I got carried away and stocked up.

Ballisticproducts.com had fed SPP match grade for about 110, with a 2k limit. Kind of a waste unless you were already paying a haz fee

If you have to have them, buy them. If you shoot for fun or need 100 for the next decade of hunting go for that. Our hobbies are expensive and we all make adjustments, no matter the hobby.

Wow!! Occasionally I would drop a primer on the floor and carry on. Now everything stops and I search until I find it.

Well when I get that far down to search for a primer ..I always plan to do other stuff like dusting under the bench ..check my shoe laces and such ..it's just not worth doing just one thing going to that much effort

I am set for the time being, but I figure another 1000 LRP’s would set me for life. I would do it at $100/1000 or less. I figure $75/1000 will be the lowest they will ever be again if they even ever get that low.

Our local hardware has a fine selection of primers. only $19.99/100, but they don't seem to be flying off the shelves.

September last, there was a local gun show and I refused to buy primers at $100.00 a brick. Big mistake...

Wow . . . . that's a stiff price . . . but they are probably worth it 'cause they are probably some of those new "Green" primers that will save the earth. I hope you sang a song of praise to "Joe The Almighty" for his deliverance to his masses . . . allowing you the "honor" of paying so much . . .now if they could only insure the quick delivery of baby formula as fast as all the other consumable products us poor serfs need. Glad you were at least able to find some.

"Down Under" CC primers standard primers are advertised at $170//1000 and up to $241/1000 for benchrest. I don't think they have reached a peak yet!

Hornady gas checks $130 - $150 per 1000! Realize our auzzie dollar is only worth 70c US but that is just stupid.
