Auction Thompson Contender 44 Mag 16 in barrel

Going to start auction at 270.00 TYD . This barrel started out as a Super 14. It has now been extended to just over 16 inch. There are two vent holes in the extension and it does help on the recoil. Barrel was made by Thompson Contender.

Whoever did the work did an excellent job. Judging by the finish I suspect SSK did the actual work. The finish reminds me of some of the SSK's I owned in the past. I have no way of being sure of this. The barrel was like this when I purchased. It is very accurate and loves 180 grainers. Never tried heavier loads as the 180's shot so well.

Auction will run 7 days and end 11 August , 7 pm EST. Payment can be Paypal Friends and Family or standard USPS money order.

Can you share a pic of the bore taken from the muzzle?

How far are the ports from the muzzle, sure looks like more than 2”.

Wonder if it was a ported super 14 to which someone added a 2” unrifled bushing to use as a carbine barrel.

Trying to avoid a conversation in this part of the forum, but so many questions and I think others will have the same.

Pic of bore best I could do. Jim was right the ports are on the original barrel. Actual measurement 3 inch to center of slot.

Is this a stainless barrel or a T/C Armor Alloy coated barrel? Thank you.

Not AA because there are no AA stamping. Also it fits both older version and easy open version blued frames.
