WTS Lead ingots. I have one box of 60 lbs of lead ingots. Ingots are lead muffins, approx. 1.25 lb each. The lead has been analyzed and the analysis will be included. This box contains lead from a batch that tested as follows:
Pb=96%
Sb=3.5%
Sn=0.5%

Price is $1.00/lb plus shipping in Medium Flat Rate Box.

Since I'm using Medium Flat Rate Boxes, the postage is always $16.10. I'm charging $1 per pound plus shipping but the shipping is an even $15. I don't like keeping up with odd amounts. Also, I'm trying to figure out how to pack 50 pounds in the Medium box. It requires more stuff to keep it from banging around. The first boxes were 60 pounds but that is hard for this old man to handle without handles. LOL

I'm waiting for feedback on the second box that I shipped today. Since the first box took 11 days to get to the buyer, I'm not holding my breath for the second one.

What worked best for me is to put proper sized ingots into small flat Rate boxes and then put these into a medium Flat rate box. Use empty SFRB as spacers. Keeps the lead from shifting while also double boxing them. Muffins are much ore difficult to ship, but can be done with this method. And use lots of tape.

Thanks! I never thought of that. I've been about ready to forget the whole thing and let the sons just dump the lead. Your suggestion has at least changed my mind for now.

The muffins have been my preferred way to cast and store ingots for a long time. Don't feel like acquiring different ingot molds for now.

Hope I don't get dinged for responding to my own post. Using the small flat rate boxes as interior packing doesn't work with my lead muffins. Not at all efficient. Future shipments after the present batches are shipped may bel the little Lyman type ingots.
