    Bottle Cap Threads

I have a Harrel’s Precision benchrest powder measure that uses a plastic bottle for a reservoir.
I would like to thread a piece of plastic tubing to use instead of a bottle.
The major diameter is 2.045” and the threads are very coarse.
Is anyone familiar with bottle cap threads?

I think you can find them in Machinery's Handbook under rolled threads

Some bottles and caps have a double thread so they can close faster.

I bought an adapter from Sinclair International that mounted on my RCBS Uniflow measure. Liked this because I never had to remove the powder from the original container preventing mix-ups. I check Sinclair to see if they could help but the no longer handle this item, They offered different adapters and different bottles I thought might have helped GW

The folks at Harrell's are a phone call away. Lynwood has been real easy to talk to....if he's still around. 504-380-2683.

one of the Youtube machinists I think Robrenz made a spray mister system that uses water bottles, he discussed the thread type in the video. IIRC he ground his threading bit for it.

I have seen many types of threads on plastic bottles, very few alike.
Spell check doesn't work in Chrome, so if something is spelled wrong, it's just a typo that I missed.

I would do as I do on my dillon. Take a plastic bottle cap that threads on the loader, drill a hole or melt a hole through it to fit the tubing. I use plastic tube, but if copper or aluminum, you can probably flare to hold inside the cap

If you know someone into 3d printing, they could print an adaptor that threads into the measure & allow the tube to slip into it.
