Gunsmith Kinks S&W Revolver Tuning Article

Long, long ago in a far away place I remember reading an article in one of the Brownells Gunsmith Kinks books about how to polish different areas of a Smith revolver to smooth the action resulting in a nicer trigger pull.

Does anyone know which volume and what page it starts on?

Back in the day, Brownell’s used to be just about the only place for gunsmiths to go for all their needs, both tools and materials, and information as well. Their catalog was sorta the Sears Roebuck (remember their “Big Book?”) of gunsmiths. I never saw one in a Johnnie House, though!

I polished a few of my revolvers. Always very judiciously. Then I bought a performance center revolver and pulled the side plate off it… dang but the factory is WAY more aggressive than I was.
