    .41 Short Rimfire case question

.41 Short rimfire cases, does anyone now the final thickness of the rim and base, as if you were to examine a case that was cut longitudinally and could measure the copper thickness at the rim. I want to try my hand at forming these cases, i think it would be neat to recreate something like that. I don't even have a firearm in this caliber...although there is a neat old Remington derringer at the local pawn shop....

I have reloaded original .41 rimfire short rounds and shot them in a Colt derringer and a Remington double derringer. I've also machined a reloadable .41 rimfire short from brass bar stock. Lots of fun. I just measured an original cartridge rim. It is .055" thick.

My antique firearms youtube channel has several videos of me shooting these.

I added this little .41 rimfire "Southerner" derringer to my collection yesterday. It was made by the Brown Mfg around 1869. I have several other early cartridge derringers and shoot them all. I've got 10 rounds made up for it. So I'll take this one to the range this week 😀
