9mm flatpoint to the head makes a mess!

Took a stroll around the farm yesterday with my Sig P365XL and this guy popped up about 12 to 15 yards away. I was fortunate to make a good shot...

By the way, load was the 95 grain LEE RNFP with enough Green Dot to get 1400 fps.

I would have thought a 40mm would have vaporized a target that small.

I have shot 40mm out of the M79 and M203, did NOT know Hornady made a V-MAX for it.

Just don't stand too close to the target.

    I'VE only shot 37mms. I'm such a lightweight. No V-Max tho.

I shot a woodchuck the other day with my Axis 223. The 55 gr spire point just about gutted the critter. Took off the front leg and every thing else b that was behind it. Published velocity was 2900-3000 fps.

You wouldn't mind sharing the overall length of that load with us, would you? I have that mold and have cast and powdercoated som boolits from it, but i havent loaded any yet. Would be using it in a PSA Dagger (Glock 19 clone) and a KelTec Sub2000. There may be loads with that light boolit that approach 2000 fps in rhe 16+ inch barrel.

I haven't measured it, but I'm crimping the end of the case right into the crimp groove on the bullet.

That's a Mess? It's good that you didn't hit center mass with that 9mm. According to well known ballistics expert Jo Brandon it would have blown the lungs outside the body ... and THAT would have made a mess to remember!
