    450 bushmaster

well I have been thinking about getting one in the modern sporting rifle type. I would like you all's opinion good or bad. I really don't need it but the itch will not quit.

Have the Ruger MPR. Love it. The hardest part was finding mags, but it is possible. Lots of goods loads, I mainly use Lehigh 245 gr. Penetrators.

These days I would not call it a low cost round (but what is) and going MSR you are at probably double the $ to the bolt gun options, my .02 cents. Saying that I have a 16" Carb gas and an 18" Mid gas both adjustable gas blocks and identical hand guards and rifle lowers with Skeleton ARFX butts, Leupold VX-1 2x7's. Both are honest inch and a half @ 100 and a fifty cent piece 20 rounds @ 50. The thump I cannot really tell because I have a lot of thumper history, but does not seem much to me in either. They are both choked down and place brass about ten feet at four o'clock and the 18" does shoot a little softer. The magazines are and can be an issue but I have a set up that works perfectly for my situation. These are harvesting guns for sitting close to property lines on the marsh with Hammer of Thor effect, usually no tracking involved. Almost a decade and have no regrets on direction other than the 45-70 Levers and the 06 bolts left at house guilt but I do rotate now and then. That R bolt gun IMHO is/would be hard to beat cost wise if you are truly wanting into a 450B.

I have one and like it. It's the .45acp of the MSR world.
