    Bubbles on pc boolits

    Hi guys
    Coated some boolits today
Did the wet coating method with acetone but instead of chucking out on a grid to dry I dumped them in my tumbler with only plastic bbs thats got some powder stuck to them.
After about 30 secs they were all lightly dusted and seperated. Stood them up on a baking tray and let them stand for about an hour (daddy duties)
Pre heated the oven to the powder manufacturers prescribed 180°C.
After about a minute the boolits started sweating. There were tiny droplets everywhere. After the bake and water quench the bubbles turned into little pits
I always see such nice shiny PC boolits, what am i doing wrong
I am using an epoxy powdercoat

Are you combining both methods, Hy-tek and shake and bake ?
If so, I would recommend only using one or the other.

There is no reason to use acetone with PC. Dry coating will get you much better results.

So should I leave them to dry for longer?

What (whose) powder/brand/color are you actually using?

Acetone absorbs H2O. The acetone flashes off, leaving the H2O that steams when cooking. Just use the dry method!
    Whatever!
