Nice gun! How did you get it? Was it on order or were you looking to find one and finally did.

Adding the side loading gate was a step in the right direction for sure, but Henry should go one step further and convert to a TOP eject.

    Way cool.

So far, I haven't seen anyone crying the blues with buyer's remorse from getting any Henry.
I waited 6-7 months for a Golden Boy .22 myself, and it was worth it!

I have lusted for an "all weather" .30/30 for years but really have no need for one. Just like the look.

    Enjoy your new acquisition!

Thanks all, it was definitely worth the wait... the store I shop from most usually has guns on order and most of the time they say it’s just a matter of time when suppliers fulfill the orders... I tried some of my loads the other day with 9g Unique and the 230 tc Lee boolits pc’d, and sized .452, they shot great, 1 1/2” 50 yds. I’m happy

    WHY?
Then scoping would be a pain. I don't understand why you think that would be an upgrade?

Because if it was top eject, it would be period correct for cowboy action shooting. As it is, I cannot use the Henry .357 that I own. It has become a safe queen.
