    Unloading Star Reloading Presses

I'm downsizing and moving in with my daughter's family. I must sell two Star reloading presses with all the extras I got when I bought them. Some surface rust. Not bad since they have been in New Mexico. One is in ACP and the other in .38 Spl. They both have brass tags showing they came from Los Alamos National Laboratory. They stopped reloading their own ammo in the 1980's and these were purchased through salvage. I have never used these presses. How much should I ask for them? I have no idea.

    Greetings,

Go to the eBay site and search for Star. Then, click on Sold Items on the left side of the screen.

Shipping is going to cost about $50.00 each.

One on the left appears to be a 38 Special only (Progressive) and the other is a Universal model (has little straps at the shell locations) and can be converted to other calibers.

The Universal brings a higher price.

Back to your question. The Progressive will sell from $300.00 - $400.00. The Universal $350.00 - $600.00.

You might get more based on what is in the box.

Have you checked them with a Geiger Counter?

    Cheers,

    Dave

Those are cool presses. Especially with that name tag. I hear them calling to me!

Figure out how much shipping will be, then I'd recommend doing an auction, right here in S&S.
