Best commerically available .38-40 BP bullet?

    Hi all,

My father and I just picked up a Turnbull-restored original WRACO 1873 in .38-40 and were thinking about trying out some blackpowder loads. It has a new 24" barrel, so the bore is mint condition and no roughness or pitting to speak of.

Neither of us have the time or space to cast our own boolits at the moment, so with that in mind - what is the best commerically available bullet for BP rifle loads in .38-40? I was looking at the big lube bullets from Whyte Leatherworks, the Missouri Bullet Co selection, and Montana Bullet Works for options.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Kip
