WTB: Marlin 1894 large caliber octagon forend and forend cap

I am going to the well one more time. I am in need of an octagon for-end and for-end cap for a 1894 project. I think but I am not sure that a 336 or 1895 would work. It will be in 45 colt with a new custom barrel I would prefer a shorter fore end but will entertain whatever you have. Thanks. Tom

I have a 1894 carbine forend from a .45 round barrel carbine. I don’t know if the barrel channel could be recut to octagon. Its thick. It uses a barrel hanger and cap. Might be more work than you want.

Baltimoreed, I appreciate the offer. I have a couple round ones but was hoping to find a factory octagon. Thank you for the response.

All the Cowboy forearms are the same size as I have swapped checkered and non on several, 336, 1894 or 1895. The 1895 being different as it has a relief cut to correspond to the mag tube bulge allowing the large diameter and lengthy 45-70 to be loaded. Try calling Ruger as they likely have the Marlin inventory.
