    A Cast of thousands

Winter "down under" is the perfect time for boolit casting. For the past 3 weeks every morning the temps have been as low as 30 rising to 60 deg. Casting, powder coating, sizing, fitting gas checks, what better way to fill in your day?

It looks like the shelves in an old fashioned candy shop. Well done, Wallace.

Winter is a great time for casting but it's also a great time for shooting.

That's impressive, sir. That sounds like our winters- which is also my favorite casting weather. June 24th, I'm NOT casting today.....

It’s great to be ahead of what you need. What are you using for your Lea source?

That sheathing is some pretty soft lead, what are you adding, if anything.

Here in Argentina, a quarter of a turn from the planet ahead, I also take the opportunity to turn on the oven LEE
More than anything the boolits for my 9mm, which are the ones I use the most.

I also have a 'stash' of 120kg of printers 'linotype' and 150kg of 'wiping metal' which is 50:50 solder. most of it I bought back a few years for $0.20lb.

Have a few empty jars and with cold weather and heavy rain forecast for the next 5 days, It will be down the shed again during the days!

Those $.20 per lb days are long gone here in the states. Thank goodness we boolit casters are, and have always been, on the lookout for lino-lead-tin and solder. Your stash of boolits is impressive. It's good NOT be at the mercy of supply problems with regards to projectiles at least.
