AR rifles are very tricky to get them A) functioning B) accurate
So, I would recommend listening to Larry and also having patience.

The less patience route is to build an AR in a slower twist/bigger boolit like 350 legend or 500 beo...

This is two 10 round groups fired in my RRA Lar 15 with 24" heavy barrel with 12 twist, distance 100 yards
with the NOE 70gr rn cast and heat treated 75% WW 25 % lino (about 20 BHN) loaded in LC brass, pushed with
CCI sr and Acc 2015 with a dacron filler. The action cycled perfectly.

I would consider a side charging upper, or combo side charger/traditional charging upper to allow you to more easily manually eject and charge the gun. It will come in handy when your load development begins.

I got turned off on shooting cast in my 9mm AR from breathing the blow back fumes.

It must be all in my head, but somehow, I cannot come around to the idea of shooting anything but Jacketed ammo in a gas operated action-seems like the lead and wax smoke would end up in the gas tube and my lungs. I know plenty of guys are doing it. So, it must work.
